Samsung, why even such a smartphone?

The novelty received Exynos 850

Samsung has introduced the Galaxy A14 4G smartphone in India, where it costs about $170, making it one of the cheapest phones from the Korean giant. The Galaxy A14 has long debuted in the global market, but the Indian version is different.

In particular, instead of SoC Helio G80, the novelty is equipped with Exynos 850. The first is much more powerful: in AnTuTu 9 it scores about 220,000 points against 150,000 for Exynos 850. Moreover, last year’s Galaxy A13 4G was just based on the same Exynos 850. Considering that otherwise there are almost no differences between the Indian version of the Galaxy A14 and the Galaxy A13, we can say that Samsung will sell the same product for the second year in a row.

The Galaxy A14 for India also received a 6.6-inch IPS screen without support for 90 Hz, 4 GB of RAM, 64 or 128 GB of flash memory, a 50-megapixel main camera and a 5000 mAh battery with support for 15-watt charging.

Interestingly, in the same India, Samsung sells the Galaxy M14 model for the same $ 170, which offers both a 90 Hz display, the latest Exynos 1330 SoC with 5G support, more RAM, and a huge 6000 mAh battery. Against this background, the Galaxy A14 4G looks very strange.
