Probably in the middle segment too
Samsung has announced that it will continue to use the AMD graphics architecture in its Exynos single-chip systems.
The Korean giant did not disclose any details, however, judging by the rumors and official statements from Qualcomm, there may not be a place for Exynos platforms in Samsung’s flagship smartphones of the new generation. And then this means that GPUs based on AMD technologies will also be used in Exynos SoCs for other segments. Or Samsung has in mind that it will return to the AMD GPU when it returns Exynos in the Galaxy S.
Samsung notes that, in general, mobile devices tend to lag behind consoles by about five years when it comes to graphics technology, but the company was able to quickly bring the latest console technology to the Exynos 2200 SoC thanks to a collaboration with AMD. However, as we know, Exynos 2200 was not the most successful.
