The device under design is codenamed SM-G501B. Unfortunately, the technical specifications have not yet been disclosed. But it is known that the new product will come with the Android 11 operating system out of the box.

Observers believe that the smartphone will enter the commercial market under the name Galaxy Xcover 5. Obviously, like the previous generation model, the novelty will receive protection from moisture, dust, and external influences according to IP68 and MIL-STD 810G standards. Users will be able to interact with the display with gloves.

The official announcement of the Galaxy Xcover 5 is expected next year. Perhaps, on some markets, the novelty will be offered in a modification with support for only fourth-generation 4G / LTE cellular communications.

We add that Samsung is now the world’s largest supplier of smartphones. In the third quarter of this year, the share of the South Korean giant, according to IDC estimates, amounted to 22.7%.
