Samsung breaks another R&D record
Samsung announced its quarterly results last week, and today the South Korean manufacturer has told how much of the revenue is spent on research and development.

According to the Yonhap agency, Samsung spent about $ 4.36 billion on research and development only from January to March 2020. Thus, a new record was set (the previous one in the amount of $ 4.34 billion was recorded in the first quarter of 2018).
Samsung said it spends 9.7% of its revenue on research and development. Samsung also managed to break another record in research and development: over the past 12 months, the company has spent $ 16.5 billion in this area.
The Korean company has confirmed that it will continue to invest, and the coronavirus pandemic will not violate Samsung’s plans. Yonhap also reports that Samsung has more than 180,000 patents worldwide, of which 5,075 in South Korea and more than 8,700 in the United States.
