Sberbank’s share increased to 100%
Sberbank took full control of the leading Russian high-tech industry – Rambler Group. This was reported by the press service of the company.
Sberbank fully bought Rambler
The message says that Sberbank will consolidate 100% of Rambler and buy out a 45% stake in Rambler Group from Alexander Mamut. The parties have already signed the binding documentation and closed the deal.
Payment for 45% of Rambler Group shares will be carried out in stages. RUB 3 billion will be paid immediately after the transaction is closed. The second installment will be determined at a later date and paid during the year. Also, as part of the deal, Alexander Mamut will sell his stake in the Khudozhestvenny cinema, 100% of which will be consolidated on the balance sheet of the Rambler Group.
Sberbank became a shareholder of Rambler Group in 2019, increasing its share in the group’s capital to 55% in July 2020.
The Rambler portal began operating in 1996 and until 2011 was a leading player in the Russian Internet search market. Rambler has won the Runet Prize four times. Last year, Rambler Group management was marked by a scandal in connection with the nginx web server .
