In Moscow, scooters with a computer vision module will be put into pilot operation, as reported by the kicksharing service Whoosh. This technology will be used in new scooters of Whoosh’s own design. They will be equipped with a screen and will be able to give hints to users.

At the first stage, 200 Ninebot scooters will take part in the experiment: “Based on the results of the pilot operation, the best practices will be introduced into a model of a self-developed scooter, which Whoosh plans to implement in 2024–2025.”

The computer vision module will recognize crowds of people and vehicles, signaling a decrease in speed. At the same time, the scooter will give recommendations on priority routes, tips on its own operation, help in parking, and so on.

The collected data will help Whoosh develop operational processes
