Second demo, Resident Evil 4 connection and vast arsenal: Resident Evil Village details from PlayStation talk show
Contrary to Sony’s warnings, Resident Evil Village development manager Morimasa Sato on the Japanese talk show Play! Play! Play! Shared crumbs of new information about the game.
According to Sato, the team gathered inspiration for Resident Evil Village in Eastern Europe. It was in March, but the weather was freezing, snowy, and windy – this fact was reflected in the project itself.
The developers deliberately borrowed ideas from Resident Evil 4 (for example, inventory), which also occurs in the village. For this, the authors analyzed which elements the players in the “four” liked.
Also, Sato assures that Resident Evil Village will offer a much more extensive arsenal than Resident Evil 7 and will force you to approach the choice of weapons for a particular battle tactically.
Besides, more gameplay mechanics will appear in Resident Evil Village (as an example, pushing the enemy with the foot after a block was demonstrated) and in locations – alternative routes to the goal.
Also, Sato clarified that the Resident Evil Village multi-platform demo planned for spring is an excerpt from the final game (unlike Maiden) and will provide an opportunity to try out the combat system.
The release of Resident Evil Village is expected on May 7 this year on PC (Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and S. Today, March 22, Capcom announced the system requirements for the game with and without ray tracing.
