A few hours ago, billionaire Elon Musk again surprised his army of millions of Twitter followers by posting a poll asking if he should step down as Twitter CEO.
“Should I step down as head of Twitter? I will stick to the results of this poll,” wrote the head of SpaceX, Tesla, Boring Company, Neuralink and Twitter.
At the time of publication of this note, more than 11 million votes were left, while 56.3% of those who voted believe that Musk should resign.
In a follow-up tweet, Musk wrote, “As the saying goes, be careful what you wish for because you can get what you want.”
Prior to this, Musk had been criticized for recent changes to the policy to ban the promotion of content from other social media platforms on Twitter .
He was criticized even by former Twitter CEO and founder Jack Dorsey, who has always supported Musk. In response, Musk wrote the following: “Going forward, there will be a vote for major policy changes. My apologies. This will not happen again”.
