We are talking about the version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR

More than 11 years after its release, the open-world action/RPG PC game The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim continues to be improved by enthusiasts and modders alike.

Developer Art from the Machine integrated ChatGPT into The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR, a VR version of the game released in 2018.

This modification allows for more natural conversations with non-player characters (NPCs). In the latest update, the modder added lip sync and character awareness of in-game events.

NPCs are now aware of their current location and time of day, as well as being able to recognize items the player is pointing to during a conversation.

To convert voice to text, the Whisper speech recognition system is used, and the xVASynth system allows you to voice the received text with an in-game voice.
