Snapdragon 782G added to Snapdragon 778G, 778G+, 780G and Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 – This is a slightly overclocked Snapdragon 778G+
Qualcomm has quietly added the Snapdragon 782G SoC to its portfolio. It is she who will be the basis for Honor 80.
As we suspected, the new SoC is just a slightly overclocked version of the Snapdragon 778G+. Probably, the novelty is a response to the Dimensity 1080, which, we recall, is also only a slightly accelerated Dimensity 920.
The main parameters and configuration of the Snapdragon 782G are the same as the Snapdragon 778G+. Here is the same 6 nm process technology, the same four Kryo 670 Silver cores (Cortex-A55), three Kryo 670 Gold cores (Cortex-A78) and one Kryo 670 Prime core (Cortex-A78), the same Adreno 642L GPU, but the frequencies slightly increased, so Qualcomm is talking about a 5% increase in CPU performance and a 10% increase in GPU performance. Everything else is unchanged.
Thus, the new platform should gain about 570,000 points in AnTuTu 9.
