Snapdragon won’t do it alone. Smartphones of independent Honor will receive the entire line of 5G chips MediaTek

Earlier it was reported that Honor and the American chipmaker Qualcomm are already quite successfully completing negotiations on the supply of Snapdragon SoCs for upcoming Honor phones. Given the new information about MediaTek’s intentions, it can be assumed that after the final separation of Honor and Huawei, the first company will not have the problems that Huawei is currently facing.

Sources add that MediaTek will supply budget, mid-range, and high-end SoCs. Recently, the 6nm MediaTek MT6893 platform was tested in Geekbench, it showed a better result than the Snapdragon 865.

Ren Zhengfei, the founder of Huawei, hopes that Honor will become Huawei’s strongest global competitor and even surpass its former parent company, which will strongly motivate Huawei in the future.
