Some Google Pixel 5s have gone berserk. Sound behaves erratically
Users have reported that the volume randomly decreases while watching videos, which annoys many. In other cases, however, some Pixel 5 devices randomly raise audio levels to the maximum level, even if the user initially set the audio level to the lowest level.
The sound problem manifests itself on calls, camera shutter release, when taking screenshots and in all other scenarios. In this case, the volume slider does not work. So far Google has yet to release a fix at this point, but a spokesperson acknowledged the problem, although he was vague about the reason.
As a reminder, some Pixel 5 users have reported on the Google support forums about an issue with the battery percentage indicator freezing . The screen of the newest smartphone is bouncing off the body in various places around the display’s perimeter, however Google says this is normal .
