Some Xbox Series X Games May Be Exclusive

Microsoft recently announced that Xbox Game Studios games will not be Xbox Series X exclusives over the next couple of years – they will also be released on Xbox One. However, in an interview with GameStar, Xbox CEO Phil Spencer clarified that he does not force his studios into this practice.

Unlike Sony Interactive Entertainment, Microsoft is committed to a gradual transition to the next generation of consoles without drastically cutting out Xbox One owners from new games. Over the next couple of years, projects released by Xbox Game Studios will be released on the Xbox Series X and Xbox One. But maybe not all, if the developer so wishes.

“If a creator comes to us and says, ‘No, I want to focus on the next generation,’ we are totally open to that and very supportive,” said Phil Spencer. “ If a creator comes to us and says he wants to reach customers across platforms and different generations, we fully support that

Studios Xbox Game Studios have complete creative freedom, so they can achieve great success on any platform they want, says Spencer. Microsoft does not instruct developers to do what only it needs. “The vision begins with the player, not the device,” he added.

On July 23, the Xbox Games Showcase will be held, at which Microsoft will present the following Xbox Game Studios projects. The broadcast will last about an hour and on it, you will definitely see the gameplay of the Halo Infinite campaign. And the next-gen Xbox Series X console is slated to launch in the fall.
