Apparently it’s a payment related glitch
Google unveiled its Pixel Fold foldable smartphone last month and is taking pre-orders for it until the public sale starts on June 27th. However, it looks like some pre-order users are going to be bitterly disappointed.
There have been complaints online about the cancellation of Pixel Fold pre-orders. The issue has been reported by both US and UK users. The issue appears to affect orders placed through the Google Store, but does not affect orders placed through Google partners and carriers.

The problem could be related to payment, as Google told some affected people that their “payment method could not be verified”. Over the weekend, a story about getting the Google Pixel Fold ahead of schedule also surfaced online .
