Sony opens registration for pre-order PlayStation 5
Sony has launched an open online registration for pre-ordering the new PlayStation 5. This is reported on the manufacturer’s website. Anyone can fill out the form, but according to Sony, priority is given to users who receive special invitations.
The statement notes that registration is associated with a limited number of PS5s to pre-order. The company stressed that invitations are generated based on previous user actions, but they do not guarantee the possibility of pre-ordering the device. The invitation will be valid for a limited time and only active for a specific PSN ID.
So far, this service is only available to US residents. The list of available products will also be limited: each user will be able to order no more than one console (PS5 or PS5 Digital Edition) and a couple of other products – wireless gamepads, joystick chargers, Pulse 3D headphones, remote controls, and HD cameras.
It’s worth emphasizing that the statement is still missing information on the PS5’s price and release date. It is not yet clear whether similar programs will be launched for the European, Russian, and other regions.
