Sony proposes to cancel Cyberpunk 2077 pre-order due to recent transfer even to those who did not checkout

Sony proposes to cancel Cyberpunk 2077 pre-order due to recent transfer even to those who did not checkout

Edition Twisted Voxel noticed several posts on Reddit and Twitter. They say that Sony has started sending out notifications suggesting to cancel the Cyberpunk 2077 pre-order due to the recent transfer. It is standard practice for the company in cases where developers are shifting the release of games that were available for purchase on the PS Store. However, in the case of Cyberpunk 2077, messages are received even by those who did not pre-order.

The text of the letter from Sony, which appears in the PS4 notification list, reads: “Your Cyberpunk 2077 pre-order will be available on December 10, 2020, due to the announcement of a new release date. If you don’t want to wait, you can cancel your purchase and expect a refund by contacting support. If we do not hear from you by December 10, 2020, we will assume that you want to save the order. Cancellation of purchase will void all pre-order gifts. ”

What is the reason for the error that has occurred is currently unknown. Sony has not yet commented on the situation.

As recently confirmed by the developers themselves, Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on December 10, 2020, on PC, PS4, Xbox One, GeForce Now, and Google Stadia. Versions for next-generation consoles will be available later.
