Sony will bring more PlayStation exclusives to PC

It looks like Sony is set to bring even more PlayStation exclusives to PC. This is evidenced by the company’s new corporate report for 2020, in which Sony says it is open to expanding its portfolio on the PC platform. “We are considering releasing our own PC games to drive further revenue growth,” the report said.

Recall that early this month, Horizon Zero Dawn was released on PC, which has been exclusive to the PlayStation 4 since 2017. Given that the sequel Horizon Forbidden West was announced exclusively for the PlayStation 5, there is a possibility that in this way Sony plans to nudge gamers who like Zero Dawn to buy a new console so that they can be the first to access the sequel to their favorite game. Although PlayStation exclusives such as Death Stranding and Quantic Dream games are also slowly acquiring PC versions. But it’s worth noting that these are third-party developments, the release of which for the PC is not associated with Sony’s plans.

The report also states that Sony plans to invest in, or acquire, companies with a wealth of experience and cutting edge technology to create Worldwide Studios (WWS)
