As for the GPS III satellite, it will be the fourth in a series of ten modernized navigation devices to be used by the US military. The two GPS III satellites were launched by SpaceX in December 2018 and June 2020, respectively. Another device was delivered into space on a Delta IV Medium rocket in August 2019.

It is worth noting that this week SpaceX is postponing the launch of the launch vehicle for the second time just before the launch itself. The launch, within which it was planned to send another batch of SpaceX Starlink Internet satellites into space, would have been canceled earlier.
