Priced from $180–$190
It’s no secret that solid-state drives with the PCIe 5.0 interface turn out to be very hot, and in a situation where the SSD does not have any additional cooling, it can quickly overheat and turn off. PNY decided to take the problem seriously and equipped its new SSD with two fans at once.
The CS3150 model received a fairly large radiator and two small fans at the edges. At the same time, the SSD is really very fast: the read speed is 12 GB/s. The new product is available in 1 or 2 TB versions.
SSD with two fans and SSD with tower cooler. PNY CS3150 and Corsair MP700 Pro introduced
Despite the size of the fans, and small ones often spin very quickly, PNY assures that its SSD is silent. Perhaps two fans were used precisely to reduce the rotation speed of each of them. This SSD costs from $180.
Corsair also released its SSD MP700 Pro with a massive cooling system. The cooler itself is even larger than the PNY, but there is only one fan. True, it is placed in a very unusual way. It turns out that the SSD got its own tower cooler. By the way, with this implementation, the fan should blow through the radiator more efficiently.
This SSD is even faster: 12.4 GB/s. For the 1 TB version they ask for $190.
