Steam Games Festival Returns With Hundreds of Promising PC Game Demos

The promised next ” Steam Games Festival ” has begun and brought hundreds of demos of interesting PC games (most of them are from independent developers). The festival was first held at the end of 2019 and has since become a regular event, and the current one seems to be the largest of all.

It includes over 500 free game demos. The list can be overwhelming, but here are just a few projects to start with if you want to.

Demo Black Book (due out in Q1 2021). The Black Book from Russian developers from Perm is a fusion of a card RPG and a classic adventure game set in the entourage of Russian fairy tales. In the center of the plot is the story of a young witch fighting to save her deceased lover.

Demo of Loop Hero (2021). A new take on roguelike allows you to plan your adventure with an ever-growing deck of cards, traveling through an endless loop. The player himself decides what balance of risk and reward suits him.

Don’t Forget Me Demo (no release date announced). A colorful pixel-style adventure game where the player unravels the mystery by exploring the memories of the subjects.

Genesis Noir Demo (Q1 2021). Genesis Noir is an action-packed adventure game in which the Big Bang created the universe is a stylish black and white noir detective. The idea is strange but original.

Demo of No Place for Bravery (2021). Stylish RPG pixel game with intense battles, a dark, bloody world, and history.

Echo Generation Demo (2021). Part RPG, part quirky adventure with a fun retro vibe reminiscent of Earthbound and Stranger Things. It is also worth adding to this a visual style in the spirit of more detailed Minecraft – it turns out to be a rather curious project.

Demo of The Riftbreaker (2021). A vibrant arcade action game reminiscent of the Housemarque games, but with the addition of RPG elements, base building, and survival. AMD promises support for ray tracing.

Of course, this is only a small part of the upcoming games presented at the festival, which will end on February 9 at 21:00 Moscow time. Most of the demos are available for a limited time, so if you want to hurry up.
