Steam Weekly Chart: Resident Evil Village Rises Above All, Hood: Outlaws & Legends is second

Resource SteamDB provided data on sales on Steam for the last week (May 3-9). Resident Evil Village, which was released on May 7, brought in the most revenue. On the second line is the multiplayer action game Hood: Outlaws & Legends, which so far can only be played by those who have pre-ordered.

Resident Evil Village debuted on the charts last week (based on pre-order revenue) when it came in number eight. Now she is represented in the top 10 in three positions: she also captured the sixth and seventh in the Resident Evil Village & Resident Evil 7 Complete Bundle. It hit the charts in two flavors because many copies were sold before the new game was released (Valve separates pre-orders from release versions).

Resident Evil Village updated the series’ record for the number of concurrent players – 101,726 users on the premiere day. A  new maximum was reached yesterday – 106 631. The horror received mostly high ratings from the press ( Metacritic  – 82–85 / 100). The rating in the Valve store is 94% (the total number of reviews exceeds 12 thousand). The 3DNews review can be found here. The game has also been released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and S.

Runner-up Hood: Outlaws & Legends by Sumo Digital (by Sackboy: A Big Adventure and Crackdown 3 ) and Focus Home Interactive are currently only available to early adopters. Those who pre-ordered were released on May 7, and it officially launches tonight not only on PC but also on two generations of PlayStation and Xbox. The publisher has not yet lifted the ban on publishing reviews.

Rounding out the top three is PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, recently back in the lead thanks to the rebate and testing of its new Respawn Royale mode. The co-op adventure It Takes Two dropped one spot (now it is fourth). In April, studio Hazelight announced that it had sold a million copies of the game. The Valve Index VR headset also dropped one position, moving up to a fifth.

In eighth place was the new addition to the shooter Arma 3 – SOG Prairie Fire. The DLC was created by Savage Game Design as part of the Creator DLC program, which allows third-party developers to release content for the Bohemia Interactive game. SOG Prairie Fire contains a cooperative campaign with locations in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia, single and multiplayer scenarios, dozens of weapons and vehicles. Most buyers are happy with the add-on (rating – 81%, the number of reviews – over 700).

On the ninth line is the yet unreleased collection of Mass Effect Legendary Edition. The updated trilogy will be available on May 14 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One (on Steam  – May 15). Closes the top ten action RPG Nier: Automata.
