According to the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Khabarovsk Territory Yevgeny Romanov, the Russian import-substituting aircraft will take to the air for the first time at the end of June. Romanov mentioned this at an expanded meeting of the regional government.
In the current situation, the production center of the Irkut Corporation in Komsomolsk-on-Amur has stepped up work on the Sukhoi Superjet New project. The first flight of the new aircraft is scheduled for June 21.

Evgeny Romanov also spoke about the prospects for deliveries of SSJ-New to regional airlines. According to him, the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) and Aeroflot have already signed an agreement on the supply of 89 aircraft over the next seven years. The minister added that in 2023 it will be possible to produce only 6 regional Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft instead of the previously planned 19, the reason for this is the refusal to supply imported equipment.
