The developers said that the plot of Where the Heart Leads was influenced by projects such as Heavy Rain, Xenogears, Oxenfree, and Vagrant Story. The adventure will offer many options for the development of events in life situations, which is why you will have to play the game several times to see dozens of branches of Whit Anderson’s fate.
“Nobody knows what awaits you. During testing, we constantly asked each other what the other scenario had led to. From a creative point of view, making this game was a tough challenge. Initially, the passage was supposed to take 5 hours, but somehow imperceptibly, the game’s time almost doubled. In one playthrough, the player can see only a small part, which is normal because this is your personal story. Some of the consequences only become apparent after a few chapters, and even the smallest details can lead to completely unexpected outcomes, ”added Todd Keller, co-founder, and director of Armature Studio.
