Recall that the updated Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time was announced in September, however, contrary to numerous rumours, the Nintendo hybrid console was not on the list of target platforms.

This would be the end of the story, but recently, on the pre-order page of the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake in the Ubisoft Store, a Switch version of the upcoming action was spotted.

Unlike the rest of the target platforms, Nintendo Switch does not yet offer the option to pre-order – the store indicates that the product is out of stock.

It is noteworthy that shortly after the announcement of the remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, a version of the game for the Nintendo Switch was already seen on the Ubisoft website, but then the mention of this edition was quickly removed.

According to official information, the modernized Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is being created for PC (Uplay, Epic Games Store), PS4 and Xbox One. The remake will run in backward compatibility mode on next-gen consoles.

The release of the updated version of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time was expected on January 21, 2021, but the release was postponed for two months – until March 18. It is assumed that the transfer is associated with difficulties arising from the COVID-19 pandemic.
