TCL announces 20 Pro 5G, 20L and 20L Plus smartphones
The Chinese company TCL has announced the replenishment of the TCL 20 series of smartphones with new models 20 Pro 5G, 20L, and 20L Plus. This year, the company unveiled the TCL 20 5G and 20 SE smartphones at CES 2021.
The TCL 20 Pro 5G smartphone has more advanced features than the TCL 10 Pro released last year. It features a 6.67-inch Full HD + (2400 x 1080) OLED screen with HDR10 support and TCL’s latest-generation NXTVISION proprietary image optimization technology to adjust color, contrast, and sharpness to match displayed content. The TCL 20 Pro 5G uses a Snapdragon 750G chipset with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of flash storage. There is a slot for microSD memory cards. The battery capacity is 4500 mAh. The smartphone runs on the Android 11 operating system.
The smartphone’s rear camera uses four modules, including a 48-megapixel OIS sensor, a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 5-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel scene depth sensor. The front camera has a resolution of 32 megapixels. The device specifications also include a 3.5mm audio jack for headphones.
The 20 Pro 5G smartphones will go on sale on April 15 in the UK, Italy, and Portugal for 549 euros. According to TCL, the 20 Pro 5G and 20S (regional 20L Plus) models will sell in the US this summer.
The more affordable TCL 20L and 20L Plus smartphones feature a 6.67-inch Full HD + LCD, a Snapdragon 662 processor, and a 5000mAh battery. The 20L model has 4GB of RAM in its base configuration, while the 20L Plus model starts at 6GB.
The rear camera of the 20L Plus has a 64MP primary sensor, while the 20L has a 48MP primary sensor. The rear cameras of both smartphones also include an 8MP ultra wide-angle sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP scene depth sensor. The resolution of the selfie cameras of both smartphones is 16 megapixels.
Both smartphones also use circular polarization display technology, making the screen visible from any angle when viewed through polarized sunglasses. The 20L and 20L Plus smartphones will go on sale on April 15 in the UK, Italy, and Portugal, starting at € 229 and € 269.
