TikTok itself claims it is anti-spam
The announcement of iOS 14 showed how much the new version of the operating system for the iPhone has changed. And the changes are not just about design. Almost immediately after the beta version of iOS 14 became available for developers, one of the new features of the system appeared, and it happened very interestingly.
Thanks, iOS 14. The beta version of the new OS found a “spy” function in TikTok, but they promised to remove it
The fact is that in iOS 14 there is a new security feature, which, among other things, notifies that an application is accessing the system clipboard. It turned out that TikTok does this not just constantly, but literally after every few new keystrokes on the keyboard.
Of course, there was a noise on the web about this, and company representatives commented on the situation. They said that the TikTok application does not actually collect data from the clipboard, and iOS 14 simply responds to the antispam feature built into the software. However, after the situation received publicity, the owners of TikTok promised to remove this feature from the application and already supposedly even provided the corresponding update in the App Store. True, why all this is done only when the scandal rises, no one explained.
It is also worth noting that there is supposedly no such function in the Android application, but so far, apparently, no one has tested it.
