Xiaomi PR manager Zhang Yu stated that although the Redmi 12C is an entry-level smartphone, it supports dual-band Wi-Fi, dual SIM dual standby. In addition, the smartphone received a slot for microSD memory cards with a capacity of up to 512 GB, as well as a 3.5 mm jack for connecting headphones.
Redmi 12C features a 6.71-inch waterdrop notch LCD screen, MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, 5MP front camera, 50MP main camera, 5000mAh battery, and rear fingerprint scanner.
The new president of Xiaomi, Lu Weibing, said that the main mission of Redmi 12C is to fully meet the basic basic needs of people with a small budget. The smartphone offers a high build quality, large screen, long battery life and smooth system operation without delay.
The starting price of the smartphone is $100. It is available in four colors and three memory options: 4/64, 4/128 and 6/128 GB.
