The budget version of the smart watch Apple Watch will lose the ECG sensor

Earlier this month, reputable publication Bloomberg reported that Apple plans to introduce a modern replacement for the Apple Watch Series 3 released in 2017, which is still sold by the Apple company for $ 200. The new budget smartwatches are expected to compete with fitness trackers like Fitbit. This rumor has been backed by renowned insider Jon Prosser, who claims the new low-cost device will be shown at a virtual event on September 15th.

True, Prosser was mistaken before, suggesting that the new Apple Watch and iPad should have been presented last Tuesday in a press release. Otherwise, he always accurately named the release dates of new Apple products and their characteristics.

Prosser announced today that the new budget watch will lose features such as heart rate sensors and Always-on Display. Ironically, he also stated that the available Apple Watch will contain the M9 motion coprocessor that was used in the company’s older devices such as the iPhone 6s, the original iPhone SE, and the fifth-generation iPad. In addition, the device will receive a design similar to the Apple Watch Series 4 and will be available in sizes 40 and 44 mm.

Recall that at the end of last month, Apple-certified the new watch in the EEC, which once again confirms the imminent release of devices. The company will likely unveil them on September 15 at an online event that kicks off at 20:00 Moscow time.
