The titanium frame of the iPhone 15 Pro Max is only 18% more expensive than the metal frame of the iPhone 14 Pro Max
Counterpoint Research analysts calculated the cost of components for the iPhone 15 Pro Max and found that compared to its predecessor, the iPhone 14 Pro Max, components for the smartphone cost Apple $37.7 more. It seemed that such a significant increase was provided mainly by the titanium frame of the case, but no: it accounts for only 18% of the increase in price.
For comparison, the cost of the A17 Pro single-chip system, compared to the A16, increased by $30, and the cost of camera components increased by 34%. At the same time, due to falling prices in the memory market, Apple managed to save almost $17 on memory chips. Also, the screen costs a little less than Apple – by 4%.
