OnePlus is gearing up for the launch of the new 8T smartphone. The network has already leaked a lot of details about the upcoming device, which, according to the manufacturer’s official statement, will be presented on October 14. Today OnePlus has lowered the cost of the OnePlus 8, which once again indicates that its successor will be released very soon.
The OnePlus 8 is now priced at $ 599 for the version with 128GB of internal storage, and the device with 256GB of storage will cost $ 699. Thus, the price of each version of the smartphone has been reduced by $ 100. The changes have already taken effect on the official OnePlus online store and on Amazon. It is worth noting that the cost of the OnePlus 8 Pro was not reduced, from which we can conclude that the OnePlus 8T will be released in one modification and will not receive the Pro version.
Recall that the OnePlus 8, introduced earlier this year, is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset, which works in conjunction with 8 or 12 GB of RAM. The smartphone is equipped with a 6.55-inch screen with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The upcoming OnePlus 8T will be able to offer users a 120Hz screen with better color reproduction and fast 65W charging, although the smartphone will still be based on the base Snapdragon 865 rather than its newer Plus version. In addition, in OnePlus 8T, the main camera module will be supplemented with a 5-megapixel sensor for macro photography, and the resolution of the front sensor will double – from 16 to 32 megapixels.
