According to the program, they plan to assemble 140 Ladogs in 6 years
According to Yo-Prom, the assembly of the domestic turboprop passenger aircraft TVRS-44 Ladoga can be arranged at two plants at once: Samara Aviakor and Smolensk Aviation Plant (SmAZ, part of the Tactical Missiles Corporation).
A comprehensive program for the development of the civil air transport industry provides for the creation of 140 Ladogs in six years (from 2025 to 2030). But the Ural Civil Aviation Plant, in addition to the base TVRS-44 Ladoga, also develops special versions, and it is obvious that one assembly plant (Aviacor) cannot cope with such production volumes.
the domestic turboprop passenger aircraft TVRS-44 “Ladoga” can be arranged
In the spring, SMAZ top manager Andrei Toporkov said that the plant would produce a full-fledged wing box and a complete wing (starting from 2026, 25-30 sets each) for TVRS-44 Ladoga. The construction of the fuselages (so far for the experimental batch of machines) is carried out by Aviakor.
SMAZ is already equipped with modern machining equipment, a set of equipment for cold and hot stamping, galvanic and paint coatings, and the production of plastic products. A functional flight test station has been maintained at SMAZ. And at the beginning of the summer, Toporkov signed an agreement of intent with the administration of the Smolensk region on the implementation of an investment project aimed at expanding the production capacity of the enterprise. This allows us to think that SMAZ will become the second full-fledged assembly site for TVRS-44 Ladoga.
