This could indicate that the manufacturer will skip the Asus ROG Phone 4 and go straight to the Asus ROG Phone 5.
Twitter posted a photo showing the next gaming smartphone in the Asus ROG Phone line. Previously it was thought that it could come out under the name Asus ROG Phone 4, but now there are doubts about this.
The first live photo of the new Asus ROG Phone shows the number 5 on the back
The back panel is made in the traditional Asus ROG Phone style; the number 5 catches the eye, indicating that the manufacturer will skip the Asus ROG Phone 4 and immediately go to the Asus ROG Phone 5. Recall that in Asian countries, some companies prefer to skip the number 4 in the names of their new products. The reason for the phobia is the pronunciation of the Chinese character for “four,” which sounds like “death.”
The smartphone will receive a single-chip Snapdragon 888 system, and its AMOLED display will support a refresh rate of 144 Hz or higher. The Asus ROG Phone 4 will receive a 6000 mAh battery and support for fast charging with a capacity of 60 or 65 watts. The photo also confirms the presence of a triple main camera.
The phone is expected to go on sale this quarter.
