Rumors about an upcoming new product appear with enviable regularity. The latest news concerns a special mode in which the device can act as a real set-top box. Using a low latency wireless connection, the Red Magic 5S will connect to the TV and stream the game to it while displaying the controller on its own screen.

It is not specified which protocol will be used for video signal transmission with minimal delays. Perhaps we are talking about some kind of transmitter, which is planned to be connected to the wired connector of the TV, and the smartphone will connect to it wirelessly.

Nubia reportedly has developed six different types of virtual controllers for the smartphone to enable users to play more efficiently in different game genres. In addition, the owner of the Red Magic 5S will have ample customization options so that he can create his own controller.

Earlier it was reported that the Nubia Red Magic 5S will receive a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus processor, which will additionally have an Adreno 650 graphics accelerator. The smartphone will also receive a cooling fan with a rotation speed of 15,000 rpm. The president of Nubia, Ni Fei, boasted yesterday that with this chipset, the device scores over 650,000 points in the AnTuTu benchmark.
