The GeForce RTX 3060 first appeared in Steam statistics, but there are still no Radeon RX 6000 video cards.
Valve has released the results of its monthly Steam Hardware Survey for April 2021. According to the latest data, at the end of last month, the number of owners of GeForce RTX 30 series graphics accelerators on the platform increased to 3.16% of the total.
According to Steam, 0.85% of platform users own GeForce RTX 3080 video cards. Its share has not changed compared to the previous month. The GeForce RTX 3070 model is installed on computers by 1.38% of platform users. Compared to March, the number of owners of this video card increased by 0.09 percentage points. Owners of the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti are now 0.39% of the total. Compared to March, the share of this model on the platform increased by 0.01 percentage points. The number of owners of the flagship solution GeForce RTX 3090 has also increased. By the end of April, 0.37% of platform users own this video card, which is 0.04 percentage points more than in March. For the first time, the GeForce RTX 3060 model debuted in Steam statistics. By the end of April, 0.17% of users turned out to be video card owners.
AMD is not doing well. None of the models of video cards of the latest Radeon RX 6000 series have so far been noted in Steam statistics, even the Radeon RX 6800 and Radeon RX 6800 XT, which were presented on November 18, that is, six months ago. However, the company continues to increase its presence in processor statistics. By the end of April, 29.48% of Steam users turned out to be the “red” processors owners. This is 0.51 percentage points more than in March.
The five most popular graphics accelerators have not changed. The GeForce GTX 1060 is still in the first place, followed by the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, GeForce GTX 1650, and GeForce RTX 2060. The GeForce GTX 1050 closes the line.
Oculus Quest 2 dominates in the segment of virtual reality headsets. More than a quarter, namely 27.79% of owners of VR devices, use this particular model. The Oculus Rift S is followed by a 20.25% share of users and the Valve Index HMD, which is used by 16.39% of VR headset owners.
The number of users of the Windows 10 64-bit operating system on the platform has reached 92.83%. Almost half of the Steam users have 16GB of RAM installed on their computer.
