The head of Moon Studios apologizes for the harsh statements about the developers of No Man’s Sky and Cyberpunk 2077

Moon Studios co-founder and head Thomas Mahler posted an apology on his microblog for his recent remarks about the developers of No Man’s Sky and Cyberpunk 2077.

Recall that Mahler accused Hello Games and its head, Sean Murray, and the CD Projekt RED management of deliberately hiding the truth about the release state of their games and misleading buyers.

A day after the publication on ResetEra, Mahler cooled down and admitted that he “screwed up” and acted too aggressively, including attempting to prove his point of view to other forum participants.

“After I created this topic, we [with the staff] had a pretty long discussion about it all. Ultimately I presented Moon Studios in the wrong light that I should have, ” said Mahler.

Mahler added that in his own words, he “definitely did not want to harm anyone” The developer sought to provide an occasion for discussion of industry issues but showed insufficient respect for others.

“And for this, I apologize, especially from those to whom I addressed by name. I promise that I will learn a lesson from this mistake, and I do not wish any harm to anyone, ” Mahler summed up his statement.

Both No Man’s Sky and Cyberpunk 2077 at launch did not quite live up to the developers’ pre-release promises. However, after the premiere, both games’ authors began to actively correct and supplement their creations.
