The Last of Us Part II and God of War found support for the tactile feedback of the PS5 gamepad

The GamesRadar portal, citing its experience with the PlayStation 5, reported on the undocumented features of The Last of Us Part II and God of War (2018) when working on the new Sony console.

Recall that none of the listed PlayStation 4 exclusives (the statement is valid at the time of publication of the material) will receive a specially improved version for PS5, but will work on the upcoming console as part of backward compatibility.

As it became known two weeks ago, God of War in performance mode will be able to deliver on the PlayStation 5 “up to 60 frames / s”. As GamesRadar found out, that’s not all.

According to tests carried out by the journalists of the publication, both God of War and The Last of Us Part II, as part of backward compatibility on the PlayStation 5, received support for the tactile feedback DualSense.

Recall that tactile feedback is called one of the distinguishing features of DualSense: the function “complements the spectrum of sensations”, conveying, for example, the feeling of grip and wheel friction when driving on rough terrain.

The cherished vibration, according to journalists, is especially felt, among other things, when shooting a weapon and riding a motorboat (The Last of Us Part II), as well as when opening chests and throwing an ax (God of War).

God of War and The Last of Us Part II were released in April 2018 and June 2020, respectively, exclusively on PlayStation 4. Both games received over 90 points on Metacritic and set sales records.
