The projects will compete for the title of the best in 30 nominations. The leader in the number of mentions in the categories is The Last of Us Part II (10). Next up are Hades (8), Ghost of Tsushima (7), and Final Fantasy VII Remake (6).

Cyberpunk 2077 is predictably absent from the nominees: games released no later than November 15 are allowed for this year’s ceremony. The release of the ambitious action RPG CD Projekt RED is expected on December 10.

For a similar reason, the list below features the 2019 game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order from Respawn Entertainment. The Jedi action game was late for the previous ceremony but will be in time for the next one.

Simultaneously with the announcement of the nominees for The Game Awards 2020, the voting page on the official website of the ceremony was opened. Whether the Voice of Gamers nomination (game of the year according to users) will return this year is not specified.

The Game Awards 2020 ceremony will be held on December 10 of this year, but for Russia, the broadcast will begin on December 11 at 3:00 Moscow time. The broadcast will be available in 4K resolution on over 45 video platforms.
