2,500 cars should be assembled next year
India’s first self-developed luxury electric vehicle was unveiled. The new product was created by specialists from the Bangalore startup Pravaig Dynamics and is called Pravaig Extinction MK1. In some ways, it does not even lag behind much more famous models on electric traction.
The local luxury electric car Pravaig Extinction MK1 is presented in India. Traction battery like Tesla Model S and 500 km range
In “something,” – it is in the traction battery’s capacity, referred to as the mass of the battery itself. So, the energy density in Pravaig Extinction MK1 was 155 Wh / kg – this is the level of Tesla Model S P100D (160 Wh / kg)! The Indian novelty’s dynamic characteristics are much simpler: the range is 504 km, the power of the electric motor is 204 hp, acceleration to 100 km / h in 5.4 s. The maximum speed is 196 km / h.
There are no live copies of the Pravaig Extinction MK1 yet, but the futuristic design with long LED strips on both the front and back will clearly remain in the real model. Inside – a suite in the form of USB-C connectors with a Thunderbolt (!) Interface for charging mobile devices, a glass partition between the front and rear seats, an audio system with Devialet speakers, an air purifier with a PM 2.5 particulate filter system, and, of course, large screens with comfortable seats.
Next year, Pravaig Extinction MK1 will appear as part of a premium taxi service for Delhi and Bangalore’s business customers. Actually, for these purposes, it is planned to produce 2500 cars. It is not yet clear whether it will come to retail sales, but if it does, it will certainly not be in 2021. But next year, Tesla’s official sales will start in India – this has already been promised by the head of the company Elon Musk.
