According to Counterpoint Research, global smartwatch sales grew 13% in the second quarter. At the same time, India’s smartwatch market quadrupled, making India overtake China as the second largest smartwatch market. Moreover, purely Indian brands made it to the top of the list.

Apple dominates the market, but its share is declining. According to the results of the last quarter, it amounted to 29.3% against 30.6% a year earlier. But Samsung was able to increase its share from 7.4% to 9.2%, displacing Huawei from second place. Huawei itself took third place, and its share fell from 9% to 6.8%.

Also on the leaderboard are Fire-Boltt (6.3%), Noise (5.9%), Xiaomi (4.3%), Garmin (4.3%) and Amazfit (4.1%). As you can see, Imoo and Fitbit left the list of leaders, and they were replaced by two Indian companies, which were placed immediately in fourth and fifth places.
