Sony’s PlayStation Store marketplace is going to be improved soon to make it easier to use.

Sony has named Ben King as Senior Vice President, Consumer Direct. It will help you optimize the PlayStation Store experience on PC, consoles and mobile devices. Previously, King led Apple Services and was chief subscription officer at DAZN, the sports-streaming giant.

This is good news considering the PlayStation Store needs some work, especially on PS5. In a store, it is often difficult to find specific items with a direct search query. There are other presentation issues, such as some games not specifying install size requirements and other missing information that should be available on the game’s purchase page. The PS Store needs work, as do other consumer-facing web portals such as the PlayStation Blog.

King said in an interview:

“We have the opportunity to better serve our community by delivering a more personalized experience, helping every shopper find the perfect entertainment for them, on the right channel, at the right time.”
