Today, Transmashholding is designing a common train platform, which will be both with and without a hydrogen carrier. The CEO added that this platform will use a variety of power sources.
Earlier, Russian Railways stated that the first hydrogen-powered shunting locomotive would appear by 2026. The tests are planned to be carried out at a test site in the Sakhalin region.
