It is expected in autumn
According to recent data, the new version of the Sony PlayStation 5 console, which is expected this fall, will receive a more modern platform.
The CFI-1300 model should receive a hybrid processor, which is produced according to 5 nm standards. For comparison, in the original PS5 version, the APU was 7nm, and with the release of the updated CFI-1202, Sony switched to the 6nm process technology.
The updated Sony PlayStation 5 will lose liquid metal in the cooling system
The 5 nm manufacturing process should allow to significantly reduce power consumption and heating. Apparently, because of this, the updated console is credited with the absence of liquid metal in the cooling system.
Recall that this fall we are supposedly waiting for an updated PS5 with a removable optical drive, and at the end of next year, PS5 Pro may already be released .
