Third-person view, Thomas the train, and Ricardo Milos: modders have already chosen Resident Evil Village
Resident Evil Village has not even come out yet but is already popular with modders. For now, however, enthusiasts have to be content with experimenting with the final demo of the upcoming horror that debuted last Sunday.
For example, the Resident Evil Village page on the Nexus Mods website began to fill up with folk creations. Among them is the replacement of Lady Dimitrescu’s daughters with her herself but with Thomas the engine instead of her face and a playable version of Cassandra.
Outside of the Nexus Mods, life is in full swing, too: the DarknessValtier enthusiast, who is in charge of the playable version of Cassandra, is also adapting Resident Evil Village to a third-person view.
And modder and 3D artist Marcos RC replaced ordinary enemies in the demo with ordinary dinosaurs, Barney the dinosaur, and even the dance meme Ricardo Milos hero.
Games in the Resident Evil series are traditionally popular with modders: especially during the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3, there was a high demand for alternative options for stalker enemies like Mr. X and Nemesis.
Resident Evil Village also has an opponent of this kind – the already mentioned Lady Dumitrescu. An almost three-meter vampire, along with her three daughters, will tirelessly (and in real-time) patrol her castle in search of the main character.
Resident Evil Village will go on sale on May 7 this year for PC (Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Google Stadia. The demo will remain available for viewing until May 10.
