Four color options were expected at the time; black, green, beige, and light purple. Meanwhile, new information has surfaced on the web showing that Samsung likely has four more colors in the works: matte gray, white, pink, and navy blue.
Based on this report, Italian graphic designer Giuseppe Spinelli has developed a new series of renders for LetsGoDigital, in which the Samsung Z Flip 3 was shown in all available colors.
Samsung has never released a foldable phone in such a variety of colors. Therefore, it is unlikely that all colors will be available in all regions. It is currently expected that black, green, beige, and purple will be standard in Europe.
In addition, it is possible that additional color options will be added over time. Making new colors available a few months after they hit the market can create additional sales momentum.
The company recently filed several trademark applications across multiple continents for the Armor Frame, Armor Skin, Armor Layer, and Pro-Shield names. All of these names indicate the development of a new smartphone frame that will be stronger and more durable than the aluminum frame currently in use. This will make the foldable phone more scratch and drop resistant.
In addition, Samsung’s upcoming foldable phones will be IP rated for the first time. This means that the devices are at least splash-proof.
