Three flexible Xiaomi smartphones are expected to be announced in 2021
The Chinese company Xiaomi, whose products are very popular in many regions around the world, including Russia, is planning an attack on the flexible smartphone market. Xiaomi is expected to announce several foldable phones next year.
Ross Young, founder and CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), shared information on the upcoming devices. According to him, Xiaomi will introduce three smartphones with flexible display in the coming year.
Two of the upcoming devices will receive a book form factor. In this case, one of these new products will fold the screen inside the case, while the other – outward. In the first case, most likely, an auxiliary display will be located in the outer part of the gadget.
As for the third model, it is credited with the performance in the form of a classic clamshell with a flexible screen that folds inward.
Of course, all devices will receive a multi-module camera. Obviously, they will be able to function in fifth-generation (5G) mobile networks.
According to Counterpoint Technology, Market Research estimates, about 2.8 million smartphones equipped with flexible screens were shipped around the world in the past year. The undisputed leader is Samsung with a share of about 73%.
