And also Full HD (1080p) at 240 fps
Sony has finally announced the start of a software update for its smallest full-frame mirrorless camera yet.
With the update, debuting in March 2023, the Sony ZV-E1 will be able to record 4K video at 120fps, as well as Full HD (1080p) at 240fps.
Tiny full-frame mirrorless camera Sony ZV-E1 gets a free update
The update allows the ZV-E1 to capture 4K footage at 120fps with Long GOP compression enabled, which means a slight loss in quality, especially in scenes with a lot of fast action.
The long-awaited update is available as a free download – and it’s a pleasant surprise. When Sony released the camera, there was speculation online that the company would try to sell the 4K 120fps feature as a paid upgrade.
