Mail.ru Group began selling its branded smart speaker called “Capsule”. The model is designed to compete with Yandex.Stations with the voice assistant “Alice”.

Unlike Yandex Stations, Capsule uses a proprietary voice assistant Maroussia. Assistant testing began last summer. The cost of the “Capsule” is 104 USD. It is offered in white and black color options.
The column performs the standard tasks of digital assistants, including finding information, ordering tickets, and managing smart home devices. According to the company, Kapsula became the first smart speaker in the Russian market with the function of online calls. For this, a VK account is used. In addition, from VKontakte you can listen to music and receive recommendations.
“Capsule” received a total speaker power of 30 watts. 25 W falls on the woofer with a diameter of 76 mm, and 5 W – on the tweeter with a diameter of 20 mm. There is also a passive radiator with a diameter of 82 mm and 6 microphones for speech recognition. The frequency range is from 50 to 20,000 Hz. Dimensions are 222 x 153 x 110 mm, and weight – 1.46 kg. Bluetooth 5.0 LE, Wi-Fi (802.2 a / b / g / n / ac) and NFC are supported.
