The conversation history will not be saved and will not be used to train the neural network
The company OpenAI in its corporate blog announced that now ChatGPT chatbot users have access to “new ways to manage data.” More precisely, it became possible to disable the chat history in ChatGPT, that is, the conversation with the bot will not be saved if the user does not want it. Those chats for which the history is disabled will also not be used to train and improve the neural network and will not be displayed on the history sidebar, the developers note.
Top secret – you can now talk to ChatGPT without saving the chat
The new privacy controls are already available to all users, they can be found in the ChatGPT settings and changed at any time. The company also clarified that when chat history is disabled, the conversation is still saved for 30 days and can only be viewed when necessary to rule out abuse. Then the chat with such settings will be permanently deleted.
In addition to chatting privately with a chatbot, OpenAI is working on a new ChatGPT business subscription for professionals who need more control over their data. ChatGPT Business is scheduled to launch in the coming months, the company says.
