TTartisan has announced the release of a commemorative version of the 50mm F0.95 full-frame Leica M-mount lens, dedicated to the Year of the Ox. Unlike the base model, this version is painted bright red and comes with a thematic engraved lid.

The lens’s optical design comprises eleven elements in eight groups, including one double-sided aspherical element, one extra-low dispersion element, and five high refractive index elements. The 14-blade aperture is adjustable from f / 0.95 to f / 16. The minimum focusing distance is 70 cm. Filters with a diameter of 67 mm can be attached to the lens. Focus and iris control are manual. The lens is 89 mm long and 72 mm in diameter and weighs 687 g.
A total of 500 such lenses were produced. The commemorative lens price is $ 909, including shipping. That’s $ 132 more than the base black or silver version costs.
