UAE plans to launch a space probe to explore asteroids in 2028

The agency noted that the station will need 7 years for a one-way flight. As part of the program, it is planned to explore 7 asteroids for the presence of raw materials in them, which in the future can be mined. To do this, the probe will approach the asteroids at a distance of up to 150 km.

It is assumed that in the future this will allow to support long-duration manned missions. It will also allow you to learn more about the evolution of the solar system and the asteroid belt, their origin and properties. There are no specifics about plans for the extraction of raw materials from asteroids yet.
